POLICY STATEMENT

The Equal Opportunities Policy Statement covers all persons involved with Myddle and Broughton Parish Council and its implementation is the Councillors’ responsibility, as part of the normal activities of the Council and within the companies and individuals contracted to work for the Council. It is expected of everyone that they will operate within the spirit of the Statement and ensure that equality is upheld both in principle and practice.
The Council will strive to meet the needs of each individual.
The Council believes that all persons should benefit from Council policies and is committed to adopting flexible strategies and practices that cater for all and take into account an individual’s circumstances and varying needs.
The Council is committed to a policy of working towards eliminating discrimination on the grounds of sex, sexual orientation, marital status, ability, disability, religion, caste, culture, race or colour.
The Council is committed towards the elimination of ageist, disablist, racist and sexist behaviour, offensive language or images and any form of harassment.
